What is Hypnotherapy?
In simple terms, Hypnotherapy is a set of therapeutic techniques that are delivered to the client while they are in a state of hypnosis. It targets the subconscious mind where all human experience, memories, emotions, habits and behaviours are stored. By accessing the subconscious it becomes possible to replace old, unwanted and harmful behaviours with more acceptable ones.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of mind, which can be heightened by total physical and mental relaxation. It is a state in which the subconscious is able to communicate with the conscious mind. During the process the concentration levels of the client are enhanced and their response to suggestion increases, enabling beneficial changes to be made to either he psychological or physiological state.
Is Hypnotherapy a new form of therapy?
No, the healing of individuals whilst they are in a trance-like state has been noted in many cultures all over the world for centuries.
Is Hypnotherapy safe?
It is absolutely safe. It is NOT a form of mind control and nobody can force you to do anything that you do not want to do.
What does Hypnosis feel like?
We are all unique and so everybody’s experience of the hypnotic state is different. Some clients report feeling very light, almost as though they are floating, others experience warmth and pleasant tingling sensations, while others feel heavy and anchored. The one common factor among all clients is the deep sense of relaxation and well being.
